Go on a 'Golfari' at Pine Needles

North Carolina is home to many unique golf experiences including the Golfari. A Golfari is a “Safari of Golf” where both serious and casual golfers can learn to dramatically improve their game, but the main focus of the outing is fun. Pioneered as America’s first golf school for women by the late golf legend Peggy Kirk Bell, Golfaris are unique to Pine Needles and Mid Pines golf courses in Southern Pines near Pinehurst. Bell, named by Golf Magazine as one of the Top 100 Teachers in America and the first woman inducted into Golf Magazine’s World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame, insisted the Golfari concept mix instruction on and off the tee with relaxation in the company of friends. Golfaris were originally for women only but are now also offered for kids and beginners.
